Who owns what

A Cloudflare user is a member of one or more accounts; Workers, R2 and D1 resources belong to an account.

  • Cloudflare user personal owned by the person
  • Cloudflare account organisationIts account ID is what CLOUDFLARE_ACCOUNT_ID holds.

Steps

Steps marked “human step” are ones only you can do: verapli never signs in, submits, pays or accepts terms for you.

  1. Create or sign in to a Cloudflare account

The person signs up or signs in on the Cloudflare dashboard. verapli never creates the account.

    • Guided by hand
    • Human step: You press submit

    Where: https://dash.cloudflare.com/sign-up

  2. Create and deploy a Worker

Install Wrangler, run wrangler login in a browser for local use, and deploy the Worker with wrangler deploy.

    • Guided by hand
    • Human step: You sign in
    • After: Create or sign in to a Cloudflare account
  3. Create an API token for CI

Under My Profile, API Tokens (user token) or Manage Account, API Tokens (account token), start a token from a template or custom permissions, limit it to the needed account, and generate it. The secret is shown once; verapli captures it into CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN.

    • verapli co-pilot
    • Human step: You press submit
    • After: Create or sign in to a Cloudflare account

verapli captures CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN here by plain code: encrypted in your browser, never shown to AI.

    Where: https://dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens

  4. Copy the account ID

Copy the Cloudflare account ID into CLOUDFLARE_ACCOUNT_ID so Wrangler targets the right account.

    • Guided by hand
    • After: Create or sign in to a Cloudflare account
