Who owns what

A DigitalOcean user belongs to teams; apps and tokens belong to a team.

Steps

Steps marked “human step” are ones only you can do: verapli never signs in, submits, pays or accepts terms for you.

  1. Create or sign in to a DigitalOcean account

The person signs up at DigitalOcean and completes any account verification it asks for. verapli never creates the account.

    • Guided by hand
    • Human step: You press submit

    Where: https://cloud.digitalocean.com/registrations/new

  2. Create the app

In App Platform create an app from a repo or container image and pick a plan (static-only apps can use the free tier; containers start at $5/month).

    • Guided by hand
    • Human step: You press submit
    • After: Create or sign in to a DigitalOcean account
  3. Create a personal access token

Go to API, Tokens, Generate New Token, give a name and expiration, pick Custom Scopes for only what is needed (or Read Only), and generate. The secret is shown once; verapli captures it into DIGITALOCEAN_ACCESS_TOKEN.

    • verapli co-pilot
    • Human step: You press submit
    • After: Create or sign in to a DigitalOcean account

verapli captures DIGITALOCEAN_ACCESS_TOKEN here by plain code: encrypted in your browser, never shown to AI.
