Who owns what

One Lemon Squeezy user account owns one or more stores. Each store has a test mode and a live mode; API keys are created per mode.

  1. Create a Lemon Squeezy account and store

    The person signs up and creates a store. The store starts in test mode.

  2. Create a test-mode API key

    In Settings > API (with test mode on), create an API key for development. The key is shown once; copy it into the project env file.

    From General Settings, use "Verify your identity" and provide personal details and a photo of a government-issued ID. The person uploads the document directly to Lemon Squeezy.
