Steps

Steps marked “human step” are ones only you can do: verapli never signs in, submits, pays or accepts terms for you.

  1. Create the database

Run npx create-db@latest --region <region> (pick one near the app, e.g. eu-central-1), or create a database in the Prisma Console. The CLI prints the connection string once plus a claim URL.

    • Guided by hand
  2. Claim the database into a Prisma account

Open the claim URL and sign in or sign up to keep the database; unclaimed databases are deleted 24 hours after creation.

    • verapli co-pilot
    • Human step: You press submit
    • After: Create the database
    The provider says
Unclaimed databases are deleted 24 hours after creation (or sooner with --ttl). [2]

    Where: https://create-db.prisma.io/

  3. Store the connection string

Save the printed connection string as DATABASE_URL, or for an existing database open it in the Console and use Connect to your database.

    • verapli co-pilot
    • After: Claim the database into a Prisma account

verapli captures DATABASE_URL here by plain code: encrypted in your browser, never shown to AI.

    Where: https://console.prisma.io/
